Reads pro demos daily
New matches are parsed tick by tick, every day.
The smokes pros throw the second the round starts, pulled from their demos and broken down: where to stand, where to aim, what to press. Learn one tonight and stop asking who throws insta.
A setpos guide takes seconds, not minutes: the pro’s spot, crosshair and keys, straight from their demo.
Every day it reads new pro matches, finds every smoke thrown from spawn and groups them by where they land. I review each one before it goes live.

Only throws from spawn count. They’re grouped by where they land.

Start spot, aim and inputs, in the order you press them.

Free Workshop maps put you on the same spawn.
Pick the map you actually play. Every smoke starts from a T or CT spawn.

Free Workshop maps for learning the throw. Premier is a terrible place to find out you release late.
.hub in chatLoad your map, then paste the practice config and spawn commands into the console.
A smoke you aim before you leave spawn and throw the moment the round starts. Some need a jump or a few steps, but the lineup starts where you spawned. On Mirage, the window smoke from T spawn lands around 1:48. If yours lands at 1:35, it’s a memorial for whoever peeked first.
Pro match demos. A bot finds throws lined up from spawn and groups them by where they land. I review them, and the keepers become guides.
It copies the lineup’s position and aim commands. Paste them into the console on
a local practice server with sv_cheats 1, then follow the guide to
throw it. It won’t work in Premier or on any server without cheats.
Spawn positions are checked against the current map build, so every lineup starts from a spawn that exists in today’s game. When Valve moves things, setpos follows.
Yes, it’s free. No, you don’t need an account.
No. Start with one: a map you actually play, a spawn you recognize, a smoke your team keeps asking for. Each guide lists the spawns it works from.
No. The Workshop maps make practice easier, but you can also use your own local practice server with the config and spawn commands above.
setpos.gg is a hobby project. No company and no paid tier. Just one CS2 player who likes utility a little too much and got tired of hearing “anyone know how to throw insta?” while the round was already lost.
A bot reads pro demos, I decide what’s worth keeping, and the keepers become guides and practice maps. Free for my friends, and for you, stranger.
If one more person throws the insta instead of asking who can, it was worth it.
